The Roundback, Traditional Style
The body is a mid-depth Lyrachord bowl, Ovation's one-piece molded composite shell. No seams to work loose, no back to crack in a dry winter, and a parabolic curve that reflects string energy forward instead of trapping it in corners. The center soundhole keeps the classic look and the familiar acoustic behavior. The soundboard is a solid spruce top, carried on scalloped, quartersawn X-bracing that lets the top move freely while the braces hold their shape for decades.
Sound and Electronics
The roundback voice is articulate and immediate, with a focused low end that stays defined inside a band mix.
