iLok 3rd Generation USB-C is the USB-C version of the iLok software authorization key, carrying up to 1,500 licences in an aluminium frame measuring roughly 1.5 by 0.5 inches. It is the smallest iLok ever made and it plugs straight into a modern laptop with no adapter.
The same 1,500 licences, on the port your laptop actually has.
Every current Mac laptop and most current PC laptops ship with USB-C only. A USB-A iLok on those machines means a dongle hanging off a dongle, which is exactly the kind of thing that gets knocked loose mid-session. The USB-C version removes that.
Capacity and durability are identical to the USB-A model. Up to 1,500 licences, a split and crack proof aluminium frame, a wider security loop that accepts most desktop security cables, and an etched serial number that does not rub off. The embossed logo is there to make counterfeits obvious.

Should I Buy the USB-C or USB-A iLok?
Choose USB-C if your main machine is a current laptop with USB-C ports only, which avoids running an adapter. Choose USB-A if you work mainly at a desktop or an older machine with full size USB ports. Capacity and function are identical.
Is the USB-C iLok Compatible With the Same Software?
Yes. It works with all iLok-enabled software and is functionally identical to the USB-A third generation key. The only difference is the connector.
How Many Licences Does It Hold?
Up to 1,500, which is three times the second generation capacity. That is enough for a full studio's plugin collection on a single key.
Is It Durable Enough to Carry Daily?
The frame is split and crack proof aluminium and the serial number is etched rather than printed. It is designed to live on a keyring or a security cable rather than in a drawer.
Why PACE
PACE Anti-Piracy has built software licensing and authorization systems since 1985, and iLok is the format the professional audio industry settled on. Hundreds of manufacturers authorize their software to it, so a single key carries licenses from many different companies at once. PACE also runs License Manager and the Zero Downtime protection program that covers a lost or stolen key.
