The Ping P2625 Deluxe Gold Lyra Plate Classical Guitar Tuning Machines are Ping's top classical tuner set. Two gold plated lyra style plates, three tuners per side, nylon rollers, contrasting black worm gears, pearloid buttons, and tension adjustment screws so you can set how tight each tuner turns.
The tension adjustment screw is the difference. You set the feel, not the factory.
Classical tuners live in plain sight. The plate sits on the outside of the headstock and is half of what anyone sees when they look at the guitar, which is why the lyra engraving and the gold plating on this set matter more than they would on an electric.
Underneath the decoration this is Ping's best classical machine. Nylon rollers carry the string rather than bare metal, the black worm gears run against the gold plate for contrast, and each tuner has an adjustment screw that sets how much resistance you feel turning it. That last part is what separates this from the cheaper plates, because a classical tuner that spins too freely will not hold a fine adjustment.
Post spacing is 35mm and post diameter is 10mm, which covers standard classical and flamenco headstocks. Mounting screws are included.

Does This Set Cover a Whole Guitar?
Yes. You get two plates, three tuners on each, which is a complete replacement for one six string classical guitar. Mounting screws are in the box.
Will These Fit My Classical Guitar?
Check the post spacing on your current tuners first. This set is 35mm centre to centre with a 10mm post, which is the common classical standard. If your existing plates measure differently, the screw holes will not line up and you would be drilling a headstock, which is not something to do casually.
What Does the Tension Adjustment Screw Do?
It sets how much friction the tuner turns against. Snug it down and the tuner holds a fine adjustment without creeping. Back it off and it turns freely. Cheaper classical plates have no adjustment at all, which is why they often feel loose.
What Comes in the Box?
Two gold lyra plates with three tuners each, and mounting screws.

Why Ping
Ping has supplied tuning machines to guitar builders for decades and shows up as original equipment on a great many instruments. The range runs from budget plate tuners to sets like this one, and the reason repair shops keep Ping in the drawer is that the dimensions are consistent and the parts fit what they are supposed to fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these genuine Ping products?
Yes. Victory is a veteran owned dealer in Miami and units ship new in original packaging.
Is this covered by a warranty?
Yes. It carries the manufacturer's standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep your receipt, and call us at 844-687-4208 if you need to open a claim.
Are these for nylon string guitars only?
Yes. Classical plate tuners are designed around a slotted headstock and nylon strings. They are not a replacement for steel string acoustic tuners.
Will the gold plating wear off?
Plating on any tuner wears where hands touch it most, usually the buttons and the plate edge. How fast depends on how acidic your hands are. This is normal for gold plated hardware and is not a defect.
Do I need a luthier to install these?
If the post spacing matches, it is a straightforward swap with a screwdriver. If it does not match, take it to a luthier rather than drilling new holes yourself.
