The Ping P2681 Small Covered Bass Tuning Machines are a set of four in line bass tuners sized for modern electric basses rather than vintage ones. Covered housings, polished chrome plating, 3/8 inch posts, and bushings included. Ping part P2681.
Bass tuners that fit a modern headstock instead of a 1960s one.
Most covered bass tuners on the market are copies of large vintage designs sized for headstocks that are no longer standard. They look right on a reissue and hang off the end of anything built in the last thirty years, adding weight where a bass least needs it.
The P2681 is the compact answer. Same enclosed housing and clean chrome look, but a smaller footprint and a 3/8 inch post that matches what modern electric basses are drilled for. The closed gearbox keeps dust and sweat out of the worm, which is the part that goes gritty first on an open tuner.
All four are the same handedness, which is what an in line headstock needs. Bushings are included.

What Does 4 In Line Mean Here?
All four tuners mount on one side of the headstock, which is how nearly every four string electric bass is built. It is an orientation, not a quantity note. You are getting four tuners, enough for one bass.
Will These Fit My Bass?
Measure your existing post holes. These take a 3/8 inch post, which is standard on modern basses. Vintage and vintage reissue basses often use a larger post and a bigger mounting footprint, and this set will not fill those holes. If you are unsure, call 844-687-4208 before ordering.
Why Choose Covered Over Open Gear?
The enclosed housing keeps dust, sweat and grit out of the worm gear, so the tuner stays smooth for longer with no maintenance. Open gear tuners are lighter and let you see the mechanism, but they need occasional cleaning.
What Comes in the Box?
Four covered bass tuning machines with bushings.

Yes. It carries the manufacturer's standard warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Keep your receipt, and call us at 844-687-4208 if you need to open a claim.
Is this enough tuners for a whole bass?
Yes, for a standard four string. All four mount on the same side of the headstock.
