What Does All-In-One Mean?
Two players and a mixer built into a single unit. Instead of two CDJs and a mixer connected by cable, the whole front end is one chassis you carry, set up and power in one go.
Does It Need a Laptop?
No. It runs standalone from USB media prepared in rekordbox. That is a large part of the appeal for mobile work, where a laptop is one more thing to carry and one more thing to fail.
Will the Skills Transfer to Club Gear?
Yes. The layout follows the CDJ and DJM conventions, so a DJ who learns on an XDJ-RX3 can work a club booth.
Why Pioneer DJ
Pioneer DJ has set the standard in club and festival booths for three decades, to the point that the CDJ and DJM are what a rider means when it says industry standard. The company builds the whole chain: media players, mixers, all-in-one systems, controllers, turntables, headphones and monitoring, all tied together by rekordbox. It now trades as AlphaTheta, which is the parent company name, with Pioneer DJ retained as the product brand.
