Pro Co S14-3 is a 3 foot 14 AWG speaker cable from Pro Co's Power Plus Series, with a 1/4 inch plug on each end. It is the short run between an amplifier head and a speaker cabinet, or between a power amp and a passive speaker with 1/4 inch inputs, where a thin instrument cable would not carry the current.
Heavy wire for the one connection that actually carries power.
Speaker cables and instrument cables look alike from the outside, but they do different jobs. An instrument cable is shielded and built for a tiny signal. A speaker cable carries the amplifier's full output to the speaker, so it needs heavy unshielded conductors. The S14-3 uses 14 gauge two-conductor wire, heavy enough for higher power amplifiers.
At 3 feet it suits a head sitting on top of its cabinet or a rack amp feeding a nearby speaker, keeping the run short and tidy.

Can I Use a Guitar Cable Instead of a Speaker Cable?
No. A guitar cable has thin wire and a shield made for low level signals. Between an amp and a speaker it can overheat and starve the speaker of power. Use a speaker cable like the S14-3 for that connection.
Can I Use the S14-3 as a Guitar Cable?
No. Speaker cable is unshielded, so between an instrument and an amp it will pick up hum and noise. Use a shielded instrument cable there.
Who Is the Pro Co S14-3 For?
Guitar and bass players running a head into a cabinet, and sound techs connecting power amplifiers to passive speakers with 1/4 inch inputs over a short distance.
