Why Choose Clear Over Coated on a Bass Drum?

Clear gives a brighter, more defined beater attack, which is what cuts through a dense live mix or a close-miked rock recording. Coated warms and softens that attack.

What Does Powersonic Control?

Sustain. The series is built so the drum produces a focused low end and then stops, rather than ringing on, which is what most modern bass drum sounds want.

What Size Do I Need?

Measure the shell diameter, not the old head. This is the 22 inch model, the most common bass drum size on a standard kit.

Why Remo

Remo has made drumheads in the United States since 1957, when Remo Belli replaced calfskin with Mylar and ended the problem that had defined drumming until then: a head that changed pitch with the weather. Every major head design since has come out of that company, and the Ambassador remains the most widely used drumhead in the world. Remo also builds world percussion, marching heads and the Acousticon shells used across its drum circle range.
