Powerstroke 3 Coated Clear Dot is a single ply 10-mil coated snare head with an inlay dampening ring and a clear top dot. The ring controls edge overtones, the dot reinforces the impact area and adds articulation, and the rest of the head stays open and responsive.
Edge control and a reinforced centre, on a head that still lets ghost notes through.

What Does the Clear Dot Add?
It reinforces the centre where the stick lands, extending head life, and sharpens the attack. Because it is clear rather than coated, it adds articulation without warming the tone the way a coated dot would.
How Is This Different From the Plain Powerstroke 3 Coated?
The plain version has the inlay ring only. This one adds the top clear dot, so it is more durable and more articulate at the cost of some sensitivity.
Is It a Snare Head Only?
This 14 inch configuration is built for snare. The Powerstroke 3 range covers toms and bass drums in other sizes.
Why Remo
Remo has made drumheads in the United States since 1957, when Remo Belli replaced calfskin with Mylar and ended the problem that had defined drumming until then: a head that changed pitch with the weather.
