Overview

SuperSwitch is a footswitch controller for the Aeros and BeatBuddy 2 with independently assignable buttons, set from the connected device's own settings menu. Play fills and transitions on the BeatBuddy 2, open and close the mixer on the Aeros, in whisper-quiet buttons inside a metal casing.

Silent switches, which matters more than it sounds when a microphone is open.

Footswitch clicks land on every open microphone in the room. On a quiet acoustic set or a recorded worship service that noise is audible and there is nothing to be done about it afterwards. The SuperSwitch uses whisper-quiet buttons specifically to remove that problem.

Each button's function is set independently from within the Aeros or BeatBuddy 2 settings menu rather than being fixed at the factory, so the same unit can be a fill and transition controller on one device and a mixer control on the other.

The casing is metal and the unit is built for repeated heavy use, which is the realistic expectation for something that spends its life being stepped on.

What Does the SuperSwitch Control?

The Aeros Loop Studio and the BeatBuddy 2. On the BeatBuddy 2 it plays fills and transitions, and on the Aeros it opens and closes the mixer, among other assignable functions.

How Are the Buttons Assigned?

Independently, from the settings menu of the connected device rather than on the switch itself. That means the same unit takes on different roles depending on what it is plugged into.

Why Do Quiet Buttons Matter?

Mechanical footswitch clicks are picked up by any open microphone. On a quiet acoustic set or a recorded service that noise ends up in the recording. Whisper-quiet buttons remove it at the source.

Will It Work With the Original BeatBuddy?

It is designed for the Aeros and the BeatBuddy 2. Call 844-687-4208 to confirm compatibility with an earlier BeatBuddy before ordering.

Why Singular Sound

Singular Sound started with a single idea: put a real drummer's timing and phrasing into a stompbox a solo player can operate with one foot. The original BeatBuddy was funded on Kickstarter in 2014 and the company has stayed narrow since, building the BeatBuddy line, the Aeros looper, the MIDI Maestro and the SuperSwitch as one connected system rather than a scattered catalogue. The products sync to each other over MIDI and share a content library, which is why solo performers and worship musicians tend to end up with more than one of them.
