The Studiologic Numa X Piano 73 is the portable member of the Numa X family, using the shorter version of the Fatar TP/110 hammer action keybed.
The Numa X engine on a 73 note TP/110, built to take the portability as far as it goes.
Studiologic built the 73 for players who need a real hammer action but cannot carry an 88 note wooden keybed to every gig.
The TP/110 is a fully weighted Fatar action that is substantially lighter than the TP/400 Wood. Dropping to 73 notes takes the portability further.
The sound engine and interface carry over from the rest of the Numa X line.
The interface and sound engine carry over unchanged from the rest of the Numa X line, so nothing is cut back other than the keybed and the range.

Do You Lose Range at 73 Notes?
You lose the bottom E to A and the top C sharp to C. For most contemporary repertoire that is not a problem, and the payoff is a keyboard you can carry up a flight of stairs on your own.
If you play classical repertoire or arrangements that use the full range, go to the 88 note GT.
What Is the TP/110?
A fully weighted Fatar hammer action with reduced bounce, aimed at combining light weight with genuine piano response. It is the same action family used in the SL73 and SL88 MK2 controllers.
Who Is It For?
Gigging players who load in alone.
Seventy three notes on a TP/110 is the point where a fully weighted instrument stops being a two person lift. If you never carry it and play full range repertoire, the 88 note GT is the better instrument.

Is the sound engine the same as the GT?
The Numa X engine carries across the line. The differences between models are the keybed, the cabinet and the range.
Does it have aftertouch?
Aftertouch is fitted to the TP/400 Wood models. Confirm with us for the 73 before ordering if aftertouch is a requirement.
Is the action the same as the GT?
No. The 73 uses the TP/110, a lighter fully weighted action. The GT uses the TP/400 Wood with real wooden keys and escapement.
What case fits it?
The AMS-SL/X-BAG softcase covers the SL and Numa X series.
