The GT SE takes the Numa X Piano GT and refines it. The satin metallic finish and handcrafted wooden sides are the visible changes, but the expanded memory and Firmware 3.0 are what matter to how it plays.
Underneath it is the same platform: the Fatar TP/400 Wood hammer action keybed with three contacts, escapement and aftertouch, in a metal and solid cabinet with the redesigned rail system for mounting accessories.
Studiologic positions this as a new standard for the modern stage piano, and the specification supports the claim.
The cabinet carries the redesigned rail system, so the magnetic music stand and computer plates hook on without clamps or adhesive.

What Is Different From the Standard GT?

What Does Escapement Mean?
Escapement is the small notch you feel near the bottom of the key travel on a real grand piano, where the hammer disengages from the action. Fatar reproduces it mechanically in the TP/400 Wood. If you learned on an acoustic, it is the detail your fingers notice first and the one most digital actions leave out.
