The Studiologic SL MK2 is a MIDI keyboard controller line built on Fatar hammer action keybeds, with the UX Logic interface, high definition MIDI 2.0 and integration with the Numa Player. Three models cover the 73 and 88 note TP/110 and the 88 note TP/400 Wood.

A controller has one job: translate what your hands do into data accurately. The SL MK2 line does that with the same Fatar keybeds that go into instruments costing several times more.
The TP/110 in the SL73 and SL88 MK2 combines light weight with reduced bounce and aftertouch triggered by hammer action, so the response is a real weighted feel rather than a spring.
The SL88 GT MK2 steps up to the TP/400 Wood, Studiologic's finest keybed, with real wooden keys. The UX Logic interface and high definition MIDI 2.0 carry across all three, along with Numa Player integration.

What Is MIDI 2.0 Good For?
Higher resolution. Classic MIDI velocity is 128 steps. MIDI 2.0 raises that dramatically, which matters most on a hammer action keybed where you are capable of far finer dynamic control than 128 steps can capture. It also adds per note controller data and two way negotiation with the receiving device.
What Is Numa Player?
Studiologic's software instrument, which integrates directly with the SL controllers. It gives you a sound source out of the box so the controller is playable without sourcing third party software first.

Do I need a computer to use it?
Yes, or another MIDI sound source. These are controllers with no internal sounds.

Which accessories fit the MK2?
The AMS-SL-CP-MK2 computer plate and AMS-SL-MS-MK2 music stand plate include the magnetic brackets. Older SL plates need the AMS-SL-MB-MK2 bracket pair to fit MK2 controllers.
Is the SL88 GT worth the step up?
If you play piano repertoire and want wooden keys with escapement, yes. If you mainly drive synths, pads and organ sounds, the TP/110 in the standard SL88 is lighter and does the job.
