Overview

Triumph Series Bb 3/4 Tuba is a three-quarter size Bb tuba with a 16.5mm .65 inch bore, a 381mm 15 inch bell and three valves, in gold lacquer.

Three-quarter size, because a full size tuba defeats an eleven year old before they play a note.

The Triumph Series 3/4 Bb tuba is built for young musicians and school bands. It is designed for easy playability and a solid sound, which is what educators ask for first. The proportions keep it comfortable for a younger player, and high-grade brass construction stands up to daily use in a school environment.

Size is the whole point of a 3/4 tuba. A full size horn is heavy, takes more air than a beginner has, and is physically awkward for a small player to hold in a chair. Scaling the instrument down keeps the sound useful while making it possible to actually play.

What Does 3/4 Size Mean on a Tuba?

It is a proportional scaling of the whole instrument, not just a smaller bell. The bore, the tubing length and the physical dimensions are all reduced. The horn still plays in Bb at concert pitch, it simply takes less air and less arm span to manage.

Is Three Valves Enough?

For school band literature, yes. A fourth valve fixes intonation in the low register and extends the range, which matters once a player is working through serious repertoire. The 4/4 and 5/4 rotary Triumph Series tubas cover that step.

Who Is the Triumph Series For?

School band programs, first and second year students, church and community players, and anyone who needs a reliable instrument that survives a rehearsal room and a bus. Victory builds the Triumph Series to be repaired and maintained by a school tech, not treated as disposable.
