Triumph Series Bb 5/4 Tuba with Rotary Valves is a five-quarter size Bb tuba with four rotary valves, a 450mm 17.7 inch yellow brass bell, a rose brass leadpipe, cupronickel slides and a 19 to 20mm bore, standing 990mm tall and supplied with a mouthpiece and a high-grade canvas case.
Four rotary valves and a 450mm bell, which is the horn that anchors a full wind ensemble.
The Triumph Series 5/4 rotary tuba is built for brass players who need real capacity. The responsive rose brass leadpipe and smooth cupronickel slides pair with a yellow brass bell to deliver rich, resonant tone across the range, and the ergonomic design keeps it manageable despite its size.
The fourth rotary valve is the reason to choose this over the 4/4. It corrects the intonation problems that a three valve tuba cannot fix in the low register and it extends the usable range downward, which is what serious wind ensemble and orchestral writing assumes.

What Does the Fourth Rotary Valve Do?
It lowers the instrument by a perfect fourth, extending the range down toward the pedal register and providing alternate fingerings that correct the sharp low notes a three valve tuba cannot fix. On a bass instrument, where a few cents of error is very audible, that correction matters.
Why a Rose Brass Leadpipe?
Rose brass carries more copper than yellow brass. Placed at the leadpipe, where the air column starts, it warms the initial response and takes the edge off the attack, while the yellow brass bell keeps the projection.
Who Is a 5/4 Tuba For?
Advanced high school and college players, community and professional wind ensembles, and orchestral work. It is a large instrument and it takes real air capacity to drive properly.
Who Is the Triumph Series For?
School band programs, first and second year students, church and community players, and anyone who needs a reliable instrument that survives a rehearsal room and a bus. Victory builds the Triumph Series to be repaired and maintained by a school tech, not treated as disposable.
