Triumph Series C Valve Trombone is a valve trombone pitched in C rather than Bb, in gold lacquer with a small shank receiver, for players reading concert pitch parts directly.
Pitched in C, so a player reads the part in front of them instead of transposing it.
The valve trombone is a working instrument in Mexican banda, brass band, and Indian film and wedding music, where a slide is impractical in a moving line and a trumpet player is expected to cover the trombone part. The Triumph Series valve trombone is built for that job.
Pitching the instrument in C removes the transposition step. A player reading a concert pitch part, a piano part or a vocal line plays what is written. In church, banda and folk settings where parts arrive in concert pitch and there is no time to rewrite them, that is the whole reason this horn exists.

Why a C Valve Trombone Instead of Bb?
A Bb instrument reads transposed parts. A C instrument reads concert pitch, so the player can work from a piano part, a vocal line or a hymnal without rewriting anything. That is a practical advantage in worship and folk settings, not a tonal one.
Who Actually Plays a Valve Trombone?
Banda and mariachi players, brass band and marching lines, film and session players in India, and trumpet players who are asked to cover a trombone part. The valve layout is identical to a trumpet, so a trumpet player transfers immediately without learning slide positions.
