What's the Difference vs. an Apollo?
An Apollo interface combines audio I/O (mic preamps, headphone outs, monitor outs) with onboard DSP for realtime UAD plug-in processing. A UAD-2 Satellite is DSP-only — it provides additional plug-in processing power but no audio I/O. Use a Satellite when you want to add UAD plug-in capacity without changing your audio interface, or when you mix purely in the box and don't need additional mic preamps.
