Victory Cork Grease Tube 0.15 oz is a cork grease in a 0.15 oz tube, for the tenon corks on clarinets, saxophone necks, oboes and bassoons.
The one piece of maintenance a first-year student can actually be trusted to do.
Dry tenon corks are the reason clarinets get forced together, and forcing a clarinet together is how tenons get broken and joints get cracked. Cork grease is a few cents of prevention against a repair bill.
Apply a thin film with a finger and work it around the cork. Enough that the joint slides together with steady pressure and no twisting force. More than that just collects dust and makes the joint slip.

How Much Cork Grease Should I Use?
A thin film, not a coating. The joint should slide together with steady hand pressure and a slight twist. If you are pushing hard, add more. If grease is squeezing out around the joint, you have used too much and it will collect dust.
How Often Should Corks Be Greased?
Roughly once a week for a daily player, and always on a new instrument where the corks have not yet been worked in. If the joint is getting hard to assemble, that is the instrument telling you.
