Victory Valve & Rotor Premium Synthetic Oil 2 oz is a premium synthetic valve and rotor oil in a 2 oz bottle, formulated for piston valves and rotary valves on brass instruments.
One bottle that works on pistons and rotors, so a band room does not need two.
Synthetic oil does not gum, does not evaporate as quickly as a petroleum oil, and does not leave the varnish residue that makes a valve slow after a few weeks. On a school instrument that goes weeks between proper cleanings, that is the difference between a fast valve and a sticky one.
The 2 oz bottle is sized for a band room or a section rather than a single player. Applied to a clean valve it lasts, and it does not need reapplying every session the way a thinner oil does.

How Often Should Valves Be Oiled?
Roughly once a week for a student playing daily, more if the action starts to feel slow. Oil goes on the valve itself, not down the leadpipe. Pull the valve most of the way out, apply a few drops around the casing surface, and reseat it lining up the valve guide.
Can I Use This on Rotary Valves?
Yes. Apply it to the rotor bearings and through the slide, and use a heavier oil on the linkages if they are noisy. Rotors need less oil than pistons but need it more regularly.
