Victory Water-Activated Premium Trombone Slide Lube is a water-activated trombone slide lubricant that is applied to a clean inner slide and then activated with a water spray.
Water activated, which is why it stays fast for weeks rather than for one rehearsal.
Water-activated lubricants sit on the inner slide as a thin film and only become slippery when sprayed. That means the film stays put between sessions instead of running off, and a single application lasts far longer than oil.
It suits players who do not want to re-lube every time they open the case, and it works well on slides in good condition. It still requires a genuinely clean slide. No lubricant of any kind fixes grit.

How Does a Water-Activated Lubricant Work?
It is applied as a thin film to the inner slide and stays there. Spraying the slide with water activates the film and creates the slippery layer the slide runs on. Between sessions the film remains, so you spray rather than reapply.
How Often Do I Need to Reapply?
Weeks rather than sessions on a clean slide in normal use. Spray with water each time you play. Reapply when the slide starts feeling grabby even after spraying, which usually means the film has worn through or the slide needs cleaning.
