What Is Octave Fuzz?
Fuzz with an octave-up component generated by the circuit. The octave is most audible on single notes high on the neck, where it produces the singing, vocal quality the effect is known for. It gets messy on chords, which is part of the character.
How Do I Get the Octave to Come Out?
Play single notes above the twelfth fret with the neck pickup and the guitar volume up. The octave content depends heavily on where you play and how clean the signal into the pedal is.
Is This a Faithful Recreation?
Warm Audio built it from the original 1970s circuit rather than approximating it. Originals are rare enough that most players have only heard the effect on records.
