Cambridge Audio is a British hi-fi company founded in 1968 and based in London, where its engineers still design and tune every product by ear. Its first product, the P40 integrated amplifier, was the first amplifier to use a toroidal transformer, a design that became an industry standard. The company went on to build the first two-box CD player in the 1980s, and today it develops its own StreamMagic streaming platform in house, which runs across its streamers, streaming amplifiers and powered speakers.

The range covers the full hi-fi chain. The CX, EX and AX Series cover integrated amplifiers, network streamers, CD players and receivers, and the Evo line combines streaming and amplification in one box. The L/R Series powered speakers, the Alva turntables and phono stages, the DacMagic DACs and the Melomania headphones round it out, alongside SX, Minx and MSX passive speakers and subwoofers.
