Overview

Lexicon BOB-32 is a 32-channel BLU link to analog breakout box in a 1U rack space. It converts 32 consecutive channels from the BLU link digital audio bus to 32 balanced analog outputs on four DB-25 female connectors, and is designed to work with the Lexicon QLI-32 QuantumLogic Immersion processor.

Turns the QLI-32's BLU link output into 32 analog feeds for the amplifiers in an immersive cinema.

BLU link carries up to 256 channels at 48 kHz or 128 channels at 96 kHz over standard Cat5e cable. The BOB-32 sits on that bus and pulls off a bank of 32 consecutive channels, which it outputs as balanced analog audio, eight channels per DB-25 connector.

Six DIP switches on the rear panel select which bank of 32 channels the unit outputs, so several BOB-32 units can share one BLU link to cover larger speaker layouts. BLU link in and out jacks allow daisy chaining.

The front panel has a signal/clip LED for each of the 32 outputs plus BLU link in, out, error and power indicators, so an installer can confirm signal at a glance.

Why Lexicon?

Lexicon, a HARMAN brand, has built digital audio processors since the 1970s and is known for its reverbs and its surround and immersive processing for cinema. The BOB-32 extends the QLI-32 platform with the BLU link bus shared across HARMAN Professional products.
