Crown Series Rosewood Bb Clarinet is a professional Bb clarinet built on a rosewood body with an 18-key Boehm system, available with silver plated or gold plated keys, and supplied with 62mm and 65mm barrels, a professional mouthpiece, ligature and cap, and a Victory hard-shell case.
Rosewood has a beautiful tone. Sweet, mellow and warm, with a lot of color in the sound.
The Crown Series Rosewood Bb Clarinet pairs a full rosewood body with 18 keys and your choice of silver or gold plated keywork. It ships ready to play, with two barrels, a professional mouthpiece, ligature and cap, and a Victory hard-shell case.
Rosewood is the choice when you want a sweeter voice. The sound is mellow and warm with a lot of color, and it sits beautifully in chamber groups, church services and solo work. The keywork, pads and barrel set are the same as the Crown Series Grenadilla model, so the difference you hear is the wood.

How Does Rosewood Compare to Grenadilla?
Rosewood gives a sweet, mellow, warm and colorful tone. Grenadilla gives a little more presence and edge, which helps it cut through a full band. Both are full wood professional clarinets with the same keywork, so the choice comes down to the sound you want. If you are looking for more presence, take a look at the Crown Series Grenadilla Wood Bb Clarinet.
Who Is the Crown Series Rosewood Clarinet For?
Advancing and professional clarinetists who want a wood instrument with a sweeter, warmer color, doublers, and players building a second horn for chamber, church and pit work.
What Is the Difference Between the Silver and Gold Plated Keys?
The body, bore and key system are identical. The plating is the difference. Silver plated keys are the traditional look and the more common choice for concert band and orchestra. Gold plated keys give the instrument a richer look. Choose on preference, not on performance.
Why Are Two Barrels Included?
A 62mm barrel raises pitch, a 65mm barrel lowers it. Swapping barrels brings the instrument back into tune with the ensemble faster and more cleanly than pulling at the joints.
What Comes in the Box?
Clarinet, 62mm barrel, 65mm barrel, professional mouthpiece, ligature and cap, and a Victory hard-shell case.
