DigiTech launched in 1984 as the digital effects arm of DOD Electronics. In 1989 they released the original Whammy — the first mass-market digital pitch-shifter — and built a thirty-five-year platform around it that's now central to the playing of Tom Morello, Steve Vai, Jack White, David Gilmour, Jonny Greenwood, and many others. The current lineup runs from the flagship Whammy series and Whammy DT through the Trio Plus Band Creator, SDRUM, FreqOut natural feedback creator, Mosaic 12-string simulator, and the JamMan looper.
